The fourth Viet Nam International Choir Competition will be organised
in the ancient city from April 29 to May 3, according to the city''s
sport and culture centre.
Composer Dang Chau Anh was the only Vietnamese member of the jury at the
third Vietnam International Choir Competition held in the ancient town
of Hoi An in June. The competition was one of the highlights of the
fifth Quang Nam Heritage Festival.
The University of Louisville Cardinal Singers from the US overcame 14
other teams to win the third International Choir Competition held in Hoi
An City yesterday.
The third International Choir Competition opened yesterday in Hoi An,
gathering 15 choirs from the US, Germany, Taiwan, Australia, S Korea,
Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia and Viet Nam.
More than 300 artists from 11 troupes from Indonesia, Australia, South
Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan have registered to take part in the 3rd Viet
Nam International Choir Competition in Hoi An City on June 20-21, the
city''s Culture and Information Centre said yesterday.
